Here's what some of our satisfied clients have to say:

September 14, 2017

Halverson's was very thorough in the explanation of how to solve our basement water problem. They offered several solutions with explanations of the pros and cons of each. John is very experienced, kind and honest, as is Wendy. They did exactly what they said they were going to do, when they said they would, and the cost was the same as that quoted.

Description of work:

Drainage tile and concealed sump.

Perfect. John was promptly to our home to look at job and discuss his proposed plan and had a quote within a couple days. He was upfront about when he could start the project. He explained everything he was doing, worked with the building inspector and the quoted price was the price. The crew was nice and left everything picked up neatly each day. Always responsive by phone. Very nice to work with and I would recommend John for any basement project.

Description of work:

Footings, posts and 27 foot laminated beam installed in a dirt crawlspace with 3 foot clearance.

Foundation Repair 6/10/2017

The company owner himself came over to evaluate the situation within a week of contacting the company online. He explained clearly what was going on and what his repair approach would be. His crew was friendly, accommodating, and communicative, checking with us for approval when they found another crack needing repair. The repairs look great and the crew left behind zero evidence they'd been here other than the intact foundation!

Description of work:

On trying to get our porch rebuilt (different contractor), we learned that the foundation had been extended under the porch, and that portion was in very poor shape: crumbling mortar, cracks, falling stone. The exterior of the foundation also needed reparging along the south side of the house.

1.) Waterproofing 6/24/2016

They dug out around the basement walls.  Carried all the broken cement and dirt out and filled the area with clean gravel.  Then after placing a drain pipe running to a sump pump covered the area with cement.  They cleaned up any mess and removed all the broken cement from my property.  It was the best money I ever spent, because now I have a dry basement all the time.

Description of work:

Other providers needed someone to remove the stairs.  Halverson's did this on their own and repaired them in better condition than they were in the first place.  The cost was the same as the estimate even with this additional work

2). Waterproofing & Foundation Repair 6/13/2016

Halverson's Basements was quick, efficient, and clean.  They did a nice job cleaning up.  The basement floor didn't have a speck of dirt after they were finished.  I was surprised how much they got done in a short amount of time; well worth the money.

Description of work:

Installed water system for basement drainage.  Had water seepage from heavy rains.  Also had him fix my mom's basement walls.  The walls were cracked and bowed in.

4.) Crack Repair 6/24/2016

On the same day as I called Halverson Basement Repair, the owner, John Halverson, came to my house & quickly repaired a crack in my basement wall.  It's been 2 years since the repair & I haven't had any leaking problems since.  He did a wonderful job & cleaned up after the job was done.  The cost to do the repair was very affordable.  I would definitely call his company again if I had more basement problems.  They are the best!

Description of work:

Repair a 1/4" crack from ceiling to floor  in my basement wall.

5.) Foundation Repair 6/24/2016

The 3 men knew what they were doing and cleaned up after them selves. I would use them again if I needed them. I have used them before and I would call them again if needed.

Description of work:

Removed old cement step fill with dirt, put down plastic then layered rock sloped so water would run away from foundation.

3.) Waterproofing & Crack Repair 6/09/2016

I had this house built in 1977 and moved in Christmas Eve.  The very next Spring as the snow melted, water began to enter my basement, and every Spring since.  The sump pump was pumping but still the water came in.  John Halverson came in and proposed a solution he was confident would fix the problem.  After 2 days listening to that jack-hammer, the drainage problem was discovered and remedied.  John and his crew were professional and efficient.  They had to haul the old concrete debris and gravel out to their truck through a basement window, then haul more gravel and new concrete back into the basement to finish the job.  The job site was left in better condition that when they started.  The whole project took about 4 days.  I'm looking forward to a DRY Spring!

Description of work:

Dug up the ineffective drain tile/sump system installed beneath my basement floor.  They jack-hammered a 2 foot trench completely around my 24' X 48' basement floor to remove and replace the old drain tile and gravel base.  New concrete was installed over the new trench.  They sealed 2 large cracks in a basement wall that were also leaking water into the basement.
